A Change of Plans

Life happens and plans change. In the horse world one has to be flexible.

Contrary to the original intention of covering the World Cup Finals in Las Vegas and then the Rolex Kentucky 3-Day Event and the Kentucky Cup, I will be covering the Las Vegas competitions only.

The Kentucky portion of the spring trip has now been cancelled.

Due to family health issues, Cathy will not be accompanying me; therefore, I will pass on the Kentucky events since I was there last year and can write my pedigree articles without attending the competitions.

Hopefully I will be in Kentucky for the Breeders’ Cup races and the Keeneland Mixed Sale in the fall.

I read another of your excellent pointers on confirmation in the recent Gaitpost. Of course that made me wonder whatever happened to the confirmation classes that were being planned? All the best on your trip south and I am sorry to hear about your friend not being able to accompany you.

      Thanks, Marjorie.
The website for online courses, including those on conformation, is still in the works, but it will be some time until there is enough content to make it live…maybe as early as this coming fall.

Hi Judy. I have just looked through your website because it came up in my mailbox. Then I looked at your evaluation of the 3 race horses. I did know Cigar was well known. I like your evaluations because you compare the same thing on every horse. The gal who is doing the conformation article for Practical Horseman points out the strong and weak points of each horse. These of course are different for each and not as easy to compare for the beginner. I love the simplicity of your method. One is always comparing the same important confirmation points.

      Thanks, Marjorie

I am of the belief that the more people understand about horses, the better life will be for horses, and that human ego should not enter into that equation.
